Fellow Clansmen,

After last year, we all hope to be together on Deeside for a quieter by we hope fascinating Gathering.

Vice-President Angus Farquharson received his well deserved Knighthood and we hope to celebrate this important event with our new President Alistair Farquharson.

The main event this year is a 4 x 4 tour of the Invercauld Estate to enjoy the scenery, find some landmarks, and gain an understanding of the working of a Highland estate. This should be really interesting, and we are indebted  to Simon Blackett, the Estate factor, for the idea and organisation.

We will have the chance to visit Braemar Castle, and of course the Cairn at the end of the weekend.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Ballater & Braemar.
