Clan Farquharson Gathering
4 - 10th August 2012 

Escape the Olympics and come and join us in the space of the Highlands.

This year the Aboyne Games is on Saturday 4th August 2012. Always the first weekend of August. This is less than 30 minutes from Ballater. We will have a Clan Farquharson marquee here.

This is also the start of Victoria Week Victoria Week in Ballater from the 4-12th August. This offers a wide range of events with the Ballater Games on the 11th August. This will enable you build your holiday in Scotland around our Clan Gathering giving you the opportunity to take in some other events.

Further events will include a visit to the Carn-na-Cuimhne, a talk by Sheila Sedgewick the archivist at Invercauld on Clan Farquharson history; a trip to Upper Deeside including Inverey; a committee meeting, the Ballater games, and the AGM and Clan Farquharson dinner. Copyright permitting a showing of the film taken at last year's gathering will be screened. Further details on all events to follow.

Ballater Games
Always the second Thursday in August. Our Chief is the Patron of the Games. Clan Farquharson have our own tent where our members can meet for a picnic and a drink. We are also on hand to give information on the Clan and to generate more interest.

Braemar Gathering
Always the first Saturday in September. Our Chief is a Vice-Patron and the Queen is Patron. Clan Farquharson have a display table in the overseas tent where we have members on hand to give information on the Clan and to generate more interest.
