Clan Farquharson Association was founded on March 19,1984 as Clan Farquharson. Association of Nova Scotia by members of the Pipes and Drums of Clan Farquharson. Very shortly after that we received inquiries and requests for membership from several other provinces. By the end of the summer we had members from almost all over Canada. It was then determined by our Executive Council that our Association should reflect the fact that our membership was not only Nova Scotian but was representative of the whole country. Hence, the name was changed to Clan Farquharson Association of Canada. Although we do realise that it is difficult to serve all of our members throughout the land, we shall certainly endeavour to keep all informed.
